BEYOND THE HYPE: A NEW WEBINAR SERIES ON THE FUTURE OF AI INNOVATION

Online

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has rapidly evolved from an abstract concept into a transformative force shaping industries and societies worldwide. However, as AI technology advances, so do the questions surrounding its capabilities, limitations, and ethical implications. To address these critical issues, the EIC Communities project together with the European Innovation Council (EIC) are launching a series of webinars under the theme Beyond the hype: what is next in AI innovation?

Led by EIC Programme Manager for Artificial Intelligence, Hedi Karray, this initiative aims to move beyond sensationalist narratives and foster in-depth discussions on the future of AI innovation. The events will explore key aspects of AI development, bringing together leading researchers, startups, investors, policymakers, and social scientists to contribute to a more responsible and prosperous AI ecosystem.

Key Objectives:

  • Demystify AI Innovations: Gain a clear understanding of AI’s current capabilities and its next evolutionary steps.
  • Showcase Real-World Applications: Highlight success stories and challenges from EIC-funded AI projects.
  • Explore the Regulatory and Social Landscape: Discuss AI’s societal impacts, ethical considerations, and emerging regulations.
  • Map the Future of AI: Identify trends and inform a roadmap for responsible AI innovation in Europe.

The series will feature keynote addresses, expert panels, and interactive discussions, covering topics such as AI reasoning, investment in AI deep-tech, and the role of AI in society. It is designed for researchers, business leaders, investors, policymakers, and AI enthusiasts seeking valuable insights into the future of AI.
