Developing adaptable nano-coating and real-time tracking tech for MRI-guided interventional radiology

MRI scans and imaging technologies play a crucial role in the medical sector, enabling a more precise assessment of patient conditions and guiding subsequent actions. The med-tech company Nano4Imaging (N4I), specialising in MRI-based interventional radiology, has previously developed essential technologies such as EmeryGlide, a critical guidewire used in paediatric cardiology.

In collaboration with four significant partners, the EIC-funded TRACKR project is working to develop a new technology based on N4I expertise. This turn-key platform aims to provide specialists with much-needed enabling technologies for MRI-guided interventional radiology. The technology will incorporate a nano-coating platform that can be easily adapted and applied to existing commercial intervention devices, along with real-time tracking software.
