Revolutionising cancer diagnostics by automating 60% of tasks, easing radiologist workloads, and improving accuracy

The shortage of radiologists analysing CT scans for cancer diagnoses has reached a critical juncture, as manual tasks and inadequate tools consume their valuable time. With cancer incidence projected to spike by 27.4 % over the next decade, the strain on radiologists threatens timely and accurate diagnostics.

With this in mind, the EIC-funded Better Medicine Artificial Intelligence (BMAI) project aims to revolutionise cancer diagnostics. For instance, by automating up to 60 % of repetitive tasks, BMAI not only addresses the radiologist shortage, but also ensures efficient and precise assessments, ultimately saving lives in the face of this escalating medical challenge
