SYNTHETIC BIOLOGY BEYOND EARTH

Synthetic biology is a new, interdisciplinary field that combines mathematics, biology, engineering principles and informatics to provide living organisms with characteristics they do not naturally possess.

In this talk we will unveil all the aspects of this field in outer space, understanding the challenges of biological systems in space, applied methods and even the ethics and policy behind these technologies.
