We will present the latest developments of the CITRUS project, an EU-funded initiative dedicated to the advancement of transcranial ultrasound stimulation (TUS) for neuroscience and clinical applications. Our goal is to develop an integrated TUS/MRI system that enables precise, non-invasive neuromodulation and paves the way for new therapeutic and research opportunities.
During the presentation, we will share our progress in hardware and software integration, safety assessment and early-stage prototype validation. A key focus will be on the challenges posed by compatibility between TUS and MRI and the strategies we are employing to optimise spatial precision and real-time monitoring.
By fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, CITRUS aims to push the boundaries of neurotechnology and contribute to the future of personalised brain stimulation.
