BUILDING TRUST IN AI: ADDRESSING SAFETY AND SECURITY CONCERNS

Concerns around AI safety have risen significantly with rapid technological advancements. To address these pressing challenges, EIC Communities and the European Innovation Council (EIC) invites, projects, stakeholders and experts to attend the workshop “Building Trust in AI: Addressing Safety and Security Concerns,” scheduled online for 7th April 2025 from 15:00 to 17:00 CET.
The workshop will open at 15:00 with remarks from Friederike Grosse-Holz from DG CNECT’s Safety Unit AI office and Hedi Karray, EIC Programme Manager for Artificial Intelligence. At 15:10, Dr Elhadj Ben Khelifa of Staffordshire University will explore strategies for securing artificial intelligence. Maarten Stolk from Deeploy will follow at 15:30, addressing practical aspects of deploying and governing trustworthy AI systems.
At 15:50, Alessandro Gabbiadini from the University of Milano Bicocca will present insights into the social risks associated with AI technologies, providing a timely exploration of their broader societal implications. Perspectives from business sectors on AI risks and safety management will be featured at 16:10 with Mortiz Homann and Nadja Giuliani from EQS Group AG.
The workshop will conclude with an interactive panel discussion at 16:30, featuring Maarten Stolk from Deeploy, Elhadj Ben Khelifa, Friederike Grosse-Holz, and Mortiz Homann offering diverse viewpoints on ensuring AI remains safe and secure.
