EXPLORE INDUSTRIAL INNOVATION AT THE EIC COMMUNITIES INDUSTRY PORTFOLIO DAY

Mark your calendars for the EIC Communities Industry Portfolio Day, taking place online on 18 November 2024, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. CET. Organised in collaboration with INAM Berlin, the thematic expert for the Industry Community of Practice (CoP), this event aims to drive forward innovation and investment within the industrial technology landscape. The day will bring together experts, investors, and pioneering deep-tech startups to discuss challenges, trends, and opportunities in this dynamic sector.

The event will kick off with a morning session focused on the evolving policy and investment landscape for industrial tech startups. Denis Dowling (UCD) will deliver a keynote address, shedding light on emerging policies and regulations that impact tech startups across Europe. A subsequent panel will feature insights from leading voices at Evonik Venture Capital, imec.xpand, and others, examining current trends and obstacles in venture funding. The morning will conclude with presentations from standout EIC startups, highlighting recent achievements and industry solutions.

In the afternoon session, participants can dive into two workshops designed to equip startups with practical skills. The first workshop, led by Sven Schilf of Greengate Partners, will explore IP strategies that enable startups to differentiate and protect their innovations in the competitive industrial sector. Later, Mario Baumgart from TechMiners will host a session on preparing for tech due diligence, focusing on what venture capitalists look for and how to effectively present technologies to potential investors.
