DISCOVER THE FUTURE OF HEALTH TECH AT THE EIC HEALTH PORTFOLIO DAY AND WORKSHOPS

On 25 November 2024, the EIC Communities project will host the Health Community of Practice Portfolio Day, in collaboration with Dare Innovations. This virtual event, running from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. CET, will spotlight the latest advancements and challenges in health tech innovation while fostering collaboration among innovators, researchers, and stakeholders.

The morning session will kick off with expert insights into strategies for making health tech startups resilient in a rapidly changing landscape. Participants will also hear from innovators during a “fire chat” discussion on overcoming critical hurdles in the health sector, followed by a showcase of portfolio projects highlighting impactful advancements and success stories from the Health Community of Practice.

Afternoon workshops, delivered by EU|BIC CEEIM, will offer practical insights for early-stage and advanced-stage health tech innovations.

The first workshop, “Aligning research goals with market needs at early-stage research through lean startup,” will focus on methodologies and strategies that align research outcomes with market expectations. This session will be led by José Javier Ruiz, a strategy and innovation expert and co-author of “Lean Startup for Scientists,” joined by Celia Gracia, a biomedical scientist and lean startup practitioner at Prismatico Innova, and Belén de la Morena, scientific entrepreneur and CEO of LongSeq App.

The second workshop, “Scaling health innovations: from lab validation to market breakthrough,” will explore advanced-stage strategies for transitioning health innovations from the lab to the market. Participants will gain actionable insights on overcoming barriers in scaling and validating technologies through real-world case studies. Speakers include Andrea Martos, founder and editor of Cambridge Biocapital and managing director of Codon65, alongside Belén de la Morena.
