BIO-BASED CIRCULAR ECONOMY
This event is part of Future Tech Week 2025, a celebration of cutting-edge research and innovation. Explore more events and discover how deep-tech is shaping the future on our dedicated page.
We are excited to invite you to our “Bio-Based Circular Economy” webinar. This event will explore the EIC Carbon Dioxide and Nitrogen Management and Valorisation Portfolio (CDNMVP) projects that are reshaping carbon and nitrogen management through bio-based solutions and fostering a circular economy.
The first hour will introduce revolutionary projects like Mi-Hy and Confeti, alongside other cutting-edge innovations. Mi-Hy integrates bioelectrical systems (BES) with hydroponics to utilize CO2 via microbial reactions, reclaim nitrogen from wastewater, and optimize sustainable urban agriculture. Confeti focuses on electrochemical and photochemical conversion of CO2 and Nitrogen based compounds directly from air, flue gases or agricultural wastewater using renewable energy, paving the way for greener industrial processes. We’ll also present the ACORN project, which develops sustainable business models by finding synergies between CDNMVP projects to adopt bio-based carbon and nitrogen products into the market while addressing challenges posed by traditional high-energy industrial methods.
The second hour will feature interactive breakout discussions where participants can engage with experts, exchange ideas, ask questions, and suggest solutions.
This is a unique opportunity to learn about transformative technologies, connect with industry and academia, and contribute to a sustainable future!
